Event Details

According to Dallas based artist, Juba, “Advocacy can be transferable in everything you do, even the visual arts.” His neo-expressionist paintings, collage and digital creations explore his childhood in foster care and the value of art in processing trauma and resilience. Immersive instillations composed of artifacts from his childhood have been created specifically for this exhibition.

Juba received a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Social Work and now works with children in foster care. It is Juba’s goal to be a voice in visual art while exploring these subjects in hopes to create individual and community awareness.
