Arts Council invites you to see the 17th Annual Mystery Art exhibit and auction event to celebrate their artists throughout the month of October! This annual one-of-a-kind art event has received 300 pieces of original artwork that has been donated by 219 local, regional, and national artists – of ALL ages and skill levels. Categories include abstract, still life, animal, portrait, symbolism, landscape, and floral.
All artwork will be displayed in the NorthLight Gallery from Oct. 1-20 and the artist names are hidden until the final evening, thus the mystery of guessing which artist created each piece. Artwork is judged and awards are given to the artists. This year’s judges are Todd Eric Hawkins, the Executive Director of the Irving Arts Center, Taryn Rogers, the Owner of The Gallery Frame Shoppe + Goods, and Dierrica Smith, the Director of Resource Development for the North Texas Area United Way.
All artwork will be available for purchase through an online silent auction site. 12 award-winning pieces will go directly to the live auction, which will be held in person at The Kemp on Thursday, Oct. 20th at 7pm.
This is a perfect opportunity for patrons to purchase an affordable original work of art and discover new, up and coming artists. Adult artwork starts at $35 and youth starts at $10
Auction link will be live on Oct. 1st at https://www.artscouncilwf.org/mystery-art
Exhibit will be open during regular business hours and until 8pm on Thursday evenings
