Free Event for Ages: 5 – 16

Come out and reel in the fun! The Wichita Falls Parks and Recreation department in conjunction with Texas Parks and Wildlife (TWPD) will be hosting free After School Fishing sessions for all area youth.

What to expect at the event:
-Participants will receive personalized and expert instruction on common fishing techniques.
-Registration will be completed at South Weeks Pond the day of the event.
-A limited number of fishing rods will be available to borrow from TPWD.
-Bait will be provided by the Parks and Recreation Department.
– Their sponsor, Raising Canes, has graciously donated bottled water for participants.
-Fish, of legal size, can be taken home.

All participants should bring the following items:
-Bucket for “take home” fish
-Hat
-Lawn chair
-Sunscreen

When: May 2nd, 4th, 9th and 11th
Time: 4:30 pm – 6:00 pm
Where: South Weeks Pond – 2006 Southwest Pkwy.
