One of her favorite places that she and her fiancée, Isaiah, love going to on a night out is Backdoor Theatre. “We love the shows they put on!” she said. “We also have several friends who are involved in the organization, and it is always fun to see a friend on stage or playing an instrument for the music.” She said she also loves the uniqueness of the venue. It has a special vibe, unlike other theatres she’s been to.
For couples looking for a more classic dinner and drinks experience, she has the ideal combination:
“We love to get dinner at Highlander,” she said. Among the many delicious items on the menu, she has a few favorites: “I love the fish and chips, the shepherd’s pie, and the salmon! Plus, you can’t go wrong with any of their desserts!”
After dinner, she suggests going to watch some live music at Iron Horse Pub. Hannah Belle Lecter is one particular local band she’s enjoyed seeing play there. Iron Horse was voted one of Texas’s top ten music venues; you won’t be disappointed.

For those early birds who prefer a morning date, she suggests grabbing Sunday brunch: “We love going to 8th Street Coffee House and ordering the Scramble! 8th Street has a warm, cozy atmosphere, and we just enjoy hanging out there!”
She also suggests checking out the Farmers Market while downtown on a Saturday morning. In addition to produce, you can find local honey, local wine, artisan bread, jams, jewelry, teas, gluten-free snacks, and vegan-friendly foods! After the farmers market, walk across the street to Ganache-To-Go for a bakery treat. They have great cupcakes, cookies, & macarons! Take a seat on the patio to enjoy the view and the gooey goodness.

Patrons are encouraged to stay in character until the murder mystery is solved.
