It has not taken long for newcomer Wichita Falls Brewing Co to make its mark on downtown Wichita Falls. The unique space on the corner of Seventh and Indiana features a 20×10 foot mural by local artist Sorrow. For Matt Bitsche, co-owner of Infamous Brewing in Austin, opening Wichita Falls Brewing was about bringing together two of his passions: brewing beer and revitalizing downtown Wichita Falls. Bitsche boasts that his bold vision is to bring good beer to the good people of Wichita Falls. You may come to the Brewing Co for the suds, but Wichita Falls Brewing is more than a great place to grab a beer with a friend.

Patrons of the establishment rave over the family-friendly atmosphere including a play area for children. Wichita Falls Brewing Co stands as the perfect place for a gathering with its big, comfortable tables, or if you need something more exclusive, they have a loft area for private parties. The establishment frequently hosts live trivia and DJs. One step inside and you won’t want to leave. On your way in, stop by the food trucks parked outside and grab a bite to eat with your refreshment. The Brewing Co is a BYOF establishment (Bring Your Own Food). Did we mention they have great craft beer at excellent (and recently lowered) prices? If you are in a hurry, you can always grab a crowler to go.

The Brewing Co has already partnered with another downtown establishment, Odd Duck, and crafted Odd Duck Coffee Stout. Wichita Falls Brewing is yet another reason to check out downtown the first Thursday of the month (May-October) for the After Hours Art Walks. When looking for a place to kick back, Wichita Falls Brewing provides the perfect atmosphere.

**UPDATE: Since this blog post the brewery has added a kitchen and now Progress & Provision’s scrumptious food is served. The Wichita Falls Brewing Co. is no longer BYOF.
