I really love the sense of community that Wichita Falls has and this mural really does speak to that.

Behind the doors of the new CVB entrance is a huge wall-to-wall piece of art. The mural is coming together by a local artist who hopes to show visitors what Wichita Falls is all about. Artist Audra Lambert found her heart for the arts in Wichita Falls while she was a student at Midwestern State

University. “If you have art in your everyday life, it’s going to just bring you happiness,” Lambert said. “It’s going to make you think and it’s going to bring us a splash of joy and something different to just everyday life.” She started sharing that passion and spreading joy by painting murals. Now, one of her works will be the center of

attention at the newly renovated Convention and Visitor’s Bureau located at 1002 5th St. “I really love the sense of community that Wichita Falls has and this mural really does speak to that,” Lambert said. “I think that the little quirky things that make Wichita Falls special that this mural really kind of draws to that.”
