“Nature always wears the colors of the spirit.”

— Ralph Waldo Emerson

Wichita Falls is proud of its 37 beautiful parks where locals and visitors can get out and unplug for a while. Our parks range in size from small neighborhood facilities to expansive, 258-acre stretches of nature. Lucy Park is a 176-acre park where guests can take a stroll alongside the river, jog on trails, see the waterfall, and visit the nature center. The duck pond is a great place to take the kids to see wildlife up close, such as ducks, geese, turtles, and more. If you’re fortunate, you just might spot some white-tailed deer, raccoons, squirrels, butterflies or even a Mississippi Kite. This park also has picnic tables, playgrounds, a swimming pool, sand volleyball courts, walking trails, and more. Pet owners can take their furry friends to the off-leash dog park at Lake Wichita Park. This park offers 234 acres of fun, including biking and walking trails, picnic shelters, playgrounds, a disc golf course, and more. Experience all our parks have to offer today!
