The highly anticipated After Hours Artwalk returns for its 2025 season on Thursday, April 3, bringing an evening of local art, live music, shopping, and community engagement to Downtown Wichita Falls. The Artwalk will take place on the first Thursday of every month from April through October, providing a platform for artists, performers, and businesses to connect with the community in a lively and interactive setting.
This year introduces new features, including artists setting up in the street and monthly themes to enhance the Artwalk experience. For the first time, Indiana Avenue from 7th to 8th Street will be closed to traffic, allowing artists to set up in the middle of the road, creating a unique outdoor gallery. Artists interested in participating must sign up in advance.
The April Artwalk theme, “Bloom the Block,” highlights the Downtown Development Green Team and ongoing planter project, which focuses on enhancing downtown’s streetscape with fresh greenery and flowers.
In addition to the street exhibition, the Artist Market at the Downtown Wichita Falls Farmers Market will return, featuring a diverse selection of local and regional artists selling original artwork, handmade goods, and crafts. Attendees can also explore downtown galleries, shops, and restaurants, enjoy live music, and experience the creative energy that makes the Artwalk a must-attend event.
The event is free and open to the public. Artists, vendors, and performers interested in participating can find more information and sign-up details at https://bit.ly/AHASetUp25
