The 4th annual Wichita Falls Buddy Walk will be Saturday, October 8, 2022 at Garnett Field (at McNeil Junior High Stadium).
The Buddy Walk was established in 1995 by the National Down Syndrome Society to establish inclusion and acceptance of people with Down Syndrome. The name “Buddy Walk” was created to promote inclusion between friends of ALL abilities.
It is open to the entire community and will consist of a one-mile fun walk, food, games, bounce houses, raffle drawings, prizes, music and more!
All walkers with a disability will receive a medal at the awards ceremony.
Proceeds from the walk benefit The Arc of Wichita County. The ARC offers a multitude of programs to support individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities in Wichita County and surrounding areas.
The event will open at 10AM on Saturday and the walk will be at 11:30. Awards and raffle drawings will take place at noon. Please visit https://www.ds-stride.org/wichitafallsbuddywalk to sign up!
