JAMES COOK: Drawing inspiration from evocative stories around the Red River, the Wichita Falls, TX native’s penchant for superb narrative lyrics and riveting vocals delivers an impactful punch for this rootsy collection of songs that blends folk-rock, country and Southern blues hues, with equal parts grit, sorrow and heart. Momentum began to build for Cook after he won the 2015 Rattle Magazine Songwriter Award who went on to say “…truly an original Americana artist, with the twisting of genres that blossom into his own invention. He incorporates the country, rock and blues, with a dash of grit and salt that makes the hairs stand on end when you hear him play. You can feel it in his writing that he pours over every word in detail until it’s perfect.” He was also a finalist for the Blue Light, Larry Joe Taylor, and Texas Music Pickers competitions. Since then, Cook has released two albums and has been touring these past years with his band with a raw, energetic show that has opened doors like the Outlaws and Legends Festival, MusicFest in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, 2019 Ranch Bash in Ft Worth, TX three Top 40 singles on the TRRR Charts.
Chad Miller and The Good Fortune are an up-and-coming Texas Country/Red Dirt/Americana band, based in the Texas Panhandle. With Chad Miller on Lead Vocals and Guitar, Thomas Walker on Lead Guitar and Vocals, Jody Miller on Drums and Vocals, and Jeremy Knowels on Bass and Vocals, they bring a unique blend of classic rock, country, and Americana music to the table. Chad grew up in Tulia, Tx and started playing guitar and writing songs at 10 years old. During high school and college, he’s played with and fronted multiple bands, and traveled the singer/songwriter circuit throughout Texas, Oklahoma, and New Mexico, before forming Chad Miller & The Good Fortune in 2018. Jody Miller, also of Tulia, Tx, ( and Chad’s younger brother) has toured with several bands including western swing legend Jody Nix & The Texas Playboys, the Americana/rock band Dix Hat Band, and blues legend Scott Ellison. Jeremy Knowels has played multiple intruments, with many bands, most notably Vamping, Playa Lake, and Tejon Street Corner Thieves, . Thomas Walker, originally from Houston, was long-time lead guitarist for the Shane Rogers Band, and now resides in Lubbock. The guys formed CM&TGF in 2017, and released their first full-length, 10-song album in July of 2020. The Good Fortune’s original material combines a rock n’ roll band feel with country and blues guitar work, catchy lyrics and a touch of twang. Their influences span such greats as Bob Wills, The Allman Brothers, Eagles, George Strait, and Red-Dirt legends like Randy Rogers, Wade Bowen, and Sean McConnell.

Event Details
From her early days as a gospel singer to her legendary status as a Texas Diva, Maylee Thomas transcends genre, mixing gospel-based blues with soul-rock, touches of pop, and the very faintest caress of country from time to time… and audiences respond. Opening for many national acts including Ted Nugent, Jefferson Starship, Bonnie Raitt, Hank Williams Jr., Train, Peter Frampton, Jimmy Vaughn, The Guess Who, Kenny Wayne Sheppard, .38 Special, Joe Bonamassa, and Sonny Landreth. Maylee has amassed a large and fervent following and become a frequent guest on popular television shows Good Morning Texas and Good Day Dallas while receiving strong support from several north Texas P-1 radio stations. Maylee has released seven albums on Love Life Records, an indie label. Her debut CD, Rhythm of the Blues, was recorded with sax legend Clarence Clemons of Bruce Springsteen’s famed E Street Band. The album also featured an array of other industry legends including bassist Chuck Rainey, drummer Jamie Oldaker, B-3 guru Mike Finnigan, and guitarists Dave Grissom and Andy Timmons. Maylee’s follow up release Passion, was a collaborative effort with Timmons. Mutually inspired, these artists combined their unique talent and tremendous energy to create an exciting original compilation of soulful pop influenced rock. Revered for her passionate and captivating live performances, maylee answered her fans request with Live at the Palace. Recorded at the landmark venue The Palace the final night of its’ opened doors, the album captures maylee and her band in peak performance on hot Texas night. “Love Life” is more than a motto. Maylee has brought meaningful action to these words as co-founder of the Love Life Foundation, a charity benefiting abused and at-risk children. In celebration of the foundation’s 10th anniversary, Maylee recorded and dedicated Angels Watching Over Me. The magic and beauty of this album, which devotes all proceeds to charity, lies in its simplicity and tenderness.
The G-Top Band consists of: Ronnie “Not Jimi” Hendricks on guitar and vocals, Bruce Wayne “Batman” Lyons on guitar and vocals, Kenny “Blind Dog” Reynolds on bass and vocals, David “Kiwi” Thomson on harmonica (all the way from New Zealand) and Mike “No Nickname” Gillissie on drums. Nikki Gillissie (Mike’s wife) provides an extra treat on vocals occasionally. Every member of the G-Top Band has deep roots in and a love for the blues. They also enjoy playing songs from a variety of genres.

The Back in Black tribute band is an incredible, exciting, high energy reproduction of a concert performance of AC/DC . All the members of Back in Black live in Dallas/Fort Worth area and are experienced musicians not only dedicated to the sound and look, but also capturing the power and excitement of AC/DC. We stand above the other AC/DC tributes because we include tribute performances of both Bon Scott and Brian Johnson. Back In Black was formed in late 2000 by former LA bandmates Mike Mroz (Angus) and Darren Caperna (Bon & Brian). Mike had always recognized the potential of this project due to Darren’s uncanny ability to transcend both the spirit of Bon Scott and Brian Johnson into his voice. Paul Brown (drums), Ramiro Noriega (guitar), and Steven Wilson (bass) were recruited from other great Dallas bands. In March of 2016, AC/DC auditioned lead singer Darren Caperna to replace Brian Johnson for their current world tour. They are one of the first tribute bands chosen by Live Nation/CBS Radio to tour all the House of Blues! In 2013 they were featured on AXS TV Worlds Greatest Tribute Bands and have performed their first Symphony concert with the Calgary Philharmonic in Oct 2013. They toured major arenas and theaters as part of the Classic Rock Experience in 2008/2009. They Headlined concerts at the Calgary Saddledome and Edmonton Arena. For the fifth year in a row they will headline the worlds largest Tribute Festival, Jacks Throwback in Dallas. They also performed to over 36,000 people at the Bone Bash in Ft Worth, and have been recruited by Sony Music, AC/DC’s new record label, to promote catalog sales. 20th Century Fox have chosen Back in Black over all other tribute bands to record AC/DC’s classics “TNT” and “A Long Way to the Top” for two of their movies, Napoleon Dynamite and Garage Days. Back in Black has also performed with Cheap Trick, Foghat, Bad Company, Loverboy, Jackyl, Blue Oyster Cult, Grand Funk Railroad, Head East, Seven Mary Three, Cardboard Vampires, Living Colour, Better than Ezra, Ted Nugent, Warrant, April Wine, Great White, Night Ranger, Kansas, Quiet Riot, Violent Femmes, Badfinger and Vince Neil of Motley Crue.

Ty Myers is a young singer-songwriter based in Dripping Springs, TX; currently being managed and developed by Narvel Blackstock and Starstruck Entertainment in Nashville, TN. Ty grew up just west of Austin as the 6th-generation raised on the family cattle ranch. He has been singing since he could walk and picked up the guitar when he started writing songs at 8 years old. When he wasn’t playing football, baseball, hunting or fishing he was spending all his free time writing or playing shows with his father. Ty finds inspiration from many genres from country to blues and soul. His voice has a unique richness that connects listeners to the lyrics, and his stage presence, songwriting ability, and guitar playing far exceeds his young age. In March 2023, Myers released his first independent song, “Tie That Binds.” By June, it was getting massive attention by Nashville, LA & New York alike and has accumulated over 5M streams to date. Since, he has released four additional originals, including a cover of George Strait’s hit from 1981, “Down And Out.” With over 10M cumulative streams, Ty’s song catalog continues to rapidly grow as he has been making trips to Nashville to co-write with some of the biggest songwriters. He’s continuing to play around the Texas area, where his live shows have become highly attended, reaching max capacity for many. This past fall, he completed a college tour circuit around Texas and Oklahoma, and will be opening for artists such as Aaron Watson and Willie Nelson this spring. Fans can expect more music to be released in the coming months. Ty’s future is bright and he is humbled by the quick take off. For more information and tour dates, please visit tymyersmusic.com and follow him on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and TikTok.

Event Details
Oklahoma City’s American Slang are blazing a new trail with a timeless sound. Blending Red Dirt and Southern Rock with ‘80s hair metal, the nouveau “Shred Dirt” band have found their voice in a sonically charged, larger-than-life space. They’re undeniably classic and unapologetically brand new, and they’re ready to be the soundtrack for all generations. Comprised of Miller Wilke (vocals), Siggy West (bass), Boston Davis (drums) JC Farmer (guitar) and Preston Reeves (guitar), American Slang formed in 2020 over a shared love of rock’s past and an unquenchable thirst to be part of its present. The band’s five members met as teenagers in their local School of Rock program, and no sooner after they had formed were they playing live gigs to great response. In March 2022 they released their debut single “Gypsy Life,” a song written by Dwight Hamlin of fellow Oklahoman band Wight Lighters. A heated eruption straight out of the gate, “Gypsy Life” wastes no time in capturing American Slang’s essence, with its churning drum beat, fiery electric guitar riffs, and radiant, singalong chorus instantly asserting the band’s unique Shred Dirt sound. “We coined the term ‘Shred Dirt’ out of a collective appreciation of Red Dirt lyrics, a Southern Rock groove, and ‘80s Hair Metal drum beats and guitar riffs that came from the songs we all grew up listening to,” the band shares. “Our parents all had very diverse musical tastes, and we took the most appealing elements from all of those different genres and incorporated them into our songs, our style, and our show.” Success has followed American Slang as they’ve continued to introduce themselves, first with an electrifying cover of “Fever Dog” from Cameron Crowe’s movie Almost Famous, and next with “Alone Again,” the band’s first entirely self-written song – a collaboration with Cody Hanson of Hinder – and one that faithfully showcases their Southern rock roots. The band returned this spring with the emotional power ballad “Last Goodbye” and heavy, in-your-face anthem “Burn It All,” two songs that evoke the spirit of this fast- rising band. American Slang is poised to take the world by storm and bring their Shred Dirt sound to the global stage.
